Dr. Yamilis Colon

Provisionally Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Yamilis Colón-Valentín is a Licensed Psychologist with Provisional Status who received a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Carlos Albizu University in San Juan, Puerto Rico.


Dr. Colón possesses specialized training in the treatment of sexual abuse victims, survivors, and their families.  Her background also includes experience treating trauma-related disorders, mainly with victims of crime. Dr. Colón has vast experience working with children and adolescents under the Child Protection Services and Foster Care in Puerto Rico and unaccompanied immigrant children and adolescents.


Having had the opportunity to work with individuals with a diverse ethnic background, Dr. Colón enjoys practice cultural sensitivity. Her primary language is Spanish, and she is bilingual in English.

Dr. Lillian Morales Oramas

Provisionally Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Morales Oramas was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is fluent in both Spanish (Native language) and English. She earned a doctoral degree (Psy.D) in Clinical Psychology at Carlos Albizu University in Puerto Rico. Her clinical experience includes psychotherapy services and psychological evaluations to children, adolescents, and adults. Furthermore, she has experience working with people with diverse backgrounds, Latino immigrant families, and children who have experienced traumatic events.

Shannon Khan

Licensed Psychological Associate

Shannon H. Khan, M.A., LPA, LPC-S has over 15 years of experience providing assessment and counseling for adults, children and families using a variety of therapeutic techniques. She is trained in psychological assessment and has a keen understanding of the dynamics presented by various diagnoses and symptoms. 

Bill Sigsbee

Licensed Psychological Associate

Bill Sigsbee, MA, LPA, Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a Licensed Psychological Associate who has recently worked as a Field Researcher for Pearson Psychological Corporation assisting in the standardization of new psychological tests.  His interests are testing and the integration of psychology and spirituality.

Dr. Timothy Kimball, PhD

President/CEO; Licensed Psychologist


Licensed Clinical Psychologistl; Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency; Problem solver and a people person. Strong background in both management and entrepreneurship.

Dr. Ann Marie Hernandez, Ph.D.

Associate Director of Clinical Operations; Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Ann Marie Hernandez is a native San Antonio. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. She was born and raised on the Southside of San Antonio and earned her high school diploma from the International School of the Americas. She attended the University of the Incarnate Word and Purdue University, where she earned her Ph.D. in 2010. She completed a one-year internship at Audie L. Murphy Memorial VA Hospital, followed by a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center.

Dr. Hernandez' clinical and research interests include Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and suicide.

Aside from her work as a psychologist, she is active in community service and a life-long San Antonio Spurs fan.

Sandra Teniente, MA, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor and  Pre-Doctoral Psychology Trainee

Sandra F. Teniente, M.A., LPC, LCDC has over 10 years of providing mental health/substance abuse counseling services to children, adolescents and adults using a combined integrative and eclectic approach. As a psychological assistant, she has over 2 years of experience in psychological testing administration, interpretation and psychological report writing. 

Sandra F. Teniente is currently a student at Walden University, working towards a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. She received her Master’s degree from the University of Texas in San Antonio, majoring in Counseling, with a specialization in Community Counseling.

Margie Hinojosa

Pre-Doctoral Psychology Intern

Margie was raised in Cotulla, Texas, and earned her high school diploma from Cotulla High School. She attended Texas A&M International University, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. After getting her bachelor's, Margie worked as a police officer for nine years. She later moved on to teaching, where she taught in her hometown for ten years. During this time, she obtained her Master’s in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction. She is currently completing her internship hours to fulfill the requirements for a Doctor of Clinical Psychology, PsyD, from California Southern University. She is scheduled to complete her Doctor of Clinical Psychology, PsyD, on October 1, 2021.

     Her clinical interests include post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia, dissociative identity disorder (DID), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), forensic psychology, and psychological testing disparities among minority populations.

     Aside from her pre-doctoral internship, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, fishing, and cattle ranching. 

Laura McWhorter

Pre-Doctoral Psychology Intern

Laura McWhorter is currently a student at California Southern University, working towards a Doctorate in Psychology. She completed her graduate degree at the University of North Texas, majoring in Special Education. Laura worked as a Special Education teacher while gaining additional training to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She continues to work as a BCBA, primarily with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. Before becoming a teacher, she worked as a Registered Nurse at Methodist Hospital. Laura is excited to combine her medical background, experiences in education, and knowledge of behavioral analysis with psychology to provide treatment that encompasses the whole person. Laura is married with four children. She enjoys spending any free time with her family.
